AMSPC ANNUAL MEETING

Dear AMSPC Member:

  This message contains information for the 2009 annual AMSPC meeting  to be held in Ixtapa Mexico 28 to 31 January. The program is in its formative stages but should be filled by late summer. At that time I will forward it to you. In the interim, if you have any suggestions for possible topics or speakers, feel free to forward them to me. As the 2008 program received good reviews, I would anticipate having the same mix of academic, pharmaceutical industry and government folks. The hotel is outstanding and every room has a balcony overlooking the ocean with accompanying wave sound effects. I site visited and all the facilities are first rate and the tours (optional or otherwise) are great. The town and hotel have their own water purification systems, and none of my troops had problems during our visit! The weather in January is mid 80's  with cool nights and low humidity. Golf course are next door and of championship standard (approx $75 per round). It took us less than 6 hours flying time to get to Ixtapa from Charleston........most cities in the US have convenient connections. Ixtapa airport is small, new and modern.

   If you have any questions please contact me or one of the AMSPC officers. Would you also take time to encourage any of the Chairs who have not attended recent meetings? The more folks that register, the cheaper it will be!
