How to Register

To receive the discounted "early bird" registration fee, fill out the Registration Form and send your check to our meeting planner, Sheilah Jewart at Amazing Occasions, to arrive no later than December 01, 2005. After that date, registration will be accepted on a space available basis at full price.

    Registration fees, minus $50 handling fee, are refundable if notified by December 15th. After December 15th, a $50 handling fee and $500 room deposit will be deducted from the registration fee. After January 1st, no refunds can be made.

    Hilton El Conquistador Resort

    Travel

    Fly into the Tucson International Airport (TUS). There are several flights each day:

    • Continental (Houston) -American (Dallas)
    • Alaska (Los Angeles / San Francisco) -Frontier (Denver)
    • America West (Phoenix / Salt Lake) -USAir (Denver)
    • Delta (Atlanta and Salt Lake City)

    Airport Transportation

    The resort is approximately 25 miles from the Tucson International Airport and you have (3) options to get to the Hilton El Conquistador:

    1. Rental Car – follow I-10 West to Ina Road. Exit Ina Road, turn right and head east to Oracle Road (approx 5.3 miles). Turn left on Oracle Road (north) and continue 2.3 miles to El Conquistador Way. Turn right. Resort is on right.

    2. Stagecoach Shuttle: $44 one-way/$70 roundtrip - rates may vary with #.

    Horseback Riding - $65 per person

    2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

    Arizona still retains much of its old west flavor, and you can take this opportunity to see the land the way the pioneers did, on the back of a reliable horse. Spend a few hours riding through Catalina State Park and on the trail delighting in the exhilaration of clean, high desert air. Enjoy Tucson’s natural beauty, wildlife, flora and fauna. A horseback ride is part of the Arizona tradition.

    Jeep Tour - $70 per person

    1:30 pm – 5:30 pm

    Ride through the desert with the wind in your hair and the sun on your back on these fun-filled educational, four-wheel-drive jeep tour. You will go through some of the most beautiful and rugged desert wilderness surrounding Tucson. You will travel from civilization to primitive country inhabited by wildlife and ghosts of days gone by. Bring your camera.

    Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum - $75 per person

    1:30 pm – 5:30 pm

    The New York Times refers to it as "the most distinctive zoo in the United States." You will drive through Saguaro National Park, which preserves the most magnificent Saguaro forest in the world. This outing provides a unique opportunity to see a comprehensive collection of the plants, animals, and geology of this area. This experience requires walking.

    Following the Museum you will visit San Xavier Mission del Bac, better known as the "Dove of the Desert". One of the most photographed missions in the entire country and has just undergone a major restoration by the same team that restored the Sistine Chapel.
